East meets West in Berlin's stunning new art space

A converted World War II bunker provides an incredible backdrop to the Feuerle art collection, Berlin, Kreuzberg

It's Berlin's latest exhibition space, and quite possibly the city's most spectacular art venue yet.

This stunning conversion of a former World War II telecommunications bunker is about to open as The Feuerle Collection, which features historic Asian treasures as well as contemporary works by renowned international artists.

Berlin's own East/West story makes it an apt location for a museum focusing on dialogue between different cultures and eras, and this intriguing addition to the city's art scene promises to deliver some fascinating shows.

It's certain, too, that the atmospheric venue will itself prove an attraction, and for those who can't wait to see it, the Feuerle Collection is due to open its doors for a short preview period from April 29th (further details below).

The museum will then serve as a principal venue during the ninth Berlin Biennale, before finally celebrating its grand, official opening in October. Something to watch out for if you can't get there sooner.
