Berlin
Berlin's top models
If you're loving the full-sized Berlin, you'll probably enjoy a scaled-down version of it, too. And the models exhibited by The Senate Department for Urban Development and Environment provide a fascinating birds-eye view of the city, as well as an impressive example of model-making prowess.
Quite apart from the spectacle of several room-filling layouts, the display offers an insight into recent major building projects as well as a fascinating reconstruction of city planning under the former East Berlin government.
A further plus is provided by the exhibition venue itself: an elaborately decorated 1904 former office block which also happens to be a listed monument.
