Berlin
Berlin's coolest store (cafe attached and co-working optional)
Confidently named nothing more than 'The Store', Berlin's latest 'concept' destination has fashion and lifestyle pundits drooling into their matchachinos.
And no wonder, since this huge retail space with integrated cafe is not only located on the ground floor of trendy Soho House, but exudes its own, effortless style.
Deeming itself a cultural hub rather than a conventional store, the apartment-like interior was designed by creative director Alex Eagle as "a place where people could spend all day. A light, fresh and fun space where guests can shop, work, eat, drink and hang out".
And indeed, on our last couple of visits the comfy sofas were packed with laptop-wielding media-types looking like they'd never actually leave.
Of course, if you feel the urge to eat and drink whilst planning your next start-up, it's no surprise that in-house eatery The Store Kitchen has received breathless accolades for its inventive, wholesome fare.
The breakfast menu is a particular highlight, adding extra incentive for early birds looking to bag space in Berlin's coolest cost-free office.
And as for retail therapy - The Store is brimming with enticing fashion, homeware, books and gadgets.
In fact, everything's for sale, from the rugs on the floor to the potted plants on each bespoke marble table. Just don't leave your iPad Pro unattended, or it might end up at the cash desk.
